In today’s show, Chris interviews management consultant and coach, Tarik Ali.
As a young adult, Tarik shares that he was always ambitious, but frustrated by his lack of direction. This is when he came across Student Works. This stint, Tarik shares, taught him the soft skills required to run a business.
After Student Works, Tarik used an “inside out” approach to figuring out his future path. In this segment of the show, listeners will learn the importance of visualization.
Especially, when we are just starting our careers, we have little idea about what we really want from our life. Because most of us are yet to define what success means to us, we end up making wrong and regrettable decisions.
Wishing to test waters early on his career, Tarik shares how he did some pro bono consulting right after Student Works.
The next segment of the show is particularly interesting as Tarik talks about his coaching business, Esonance. As a co-founder of this coaching business, Tarik works with university students and helps them prepare a roadmap for the future. In this segment of the show, we specifically discuss how preparation, far-sightedness, and thoughtfulness can help eliminate self-doubt and pressure.
In the final segment of the show, Tarik talks about his role at Accenture.
