In today’s show, Chris interviews Lance Spitzig, Student-at-law, BLG LLP.
We start this show with Lance recalling his life before Student Works. What was Lance like before joining the program? And, what were some of his major frustrations as a teenager? Lance shares his disappointment with the dearth of good opportunities that allowed him to hone his skillsets.
Next, Lance shares some key highlights from his Student Works stint. Listeners will learn how this experience set up Lance for a successful career in corporate America.
The next segment of the show is about Lance’s foray into law. Lance starts this part of the show by sharing his experience as an undergrad law student. After a brief hiatus, he returned to law school with renewed focus that allowed him to graduate with top honors.
In between, Lance got an opportunity to work as an intern with one of the biggest law firms in Canada. Eventually, he was hired in a full-time position once he graduated from law school. Lance walks us through the entire job search and hiring process. Listeners will also get a “peek” into the life of a lawyer, their daily routine and responsibilities.
